The Rise of the Unlikelies: Arise and Go in Faith
Good morning, everyone! I’m so excited to share with you what God has been stirring in my spirit. Today, we’re diving deep into a powerful message about God’s unconventional ways and how He is raising up those who might seem unlikely in the eyes of the world. If you’ve ever felt overlooked, underestimated, or unqualified, this message is especially for you.
God’s Unconventional Ways
Throughout the Bible, we see God choosing the most unexpected people to fulfill His divine purposes. He doesn’t operate according to human logic or qualifications—His ways are higher than ours. Think about David, the youngest son of Jesse, chosen to be king, or Gideon, hiding in the winepress, called to lead Israel to victory. These stories remind us that God looks beyond the surface and sees the heart.
If you’ve ever felt like you don’t measure up or that you’re the least likely to succeed, remember that God specializes in using those the world might overlook. You are exactly the kind of person God loves to raise up! His power is made perfect in our weaknesses, and He’s ready to show up and show out in your life.
Divine Reversals: When God Turns the Tables
This week, we’ve been exploring the theme of divine provision, focusing on how God not only meets our needs but often does so in ways that are miraculous and unexpected. A prime example of this is found in the story of the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt.
As the Israelites stood on the brink of their deliverance, God gave them a peculiar instruction: ask your Egyptian neighbors—the very people who oppressed you—for silver, gold, and clothing. And what happened? The Egyptians, who had been their oppressors, suddenly became instruments of blessing, giving them everything they requested. This divine reversal is a powerful reminder that God can turn any situation around. What was meant for harm, God can use for your good.
You might be facing a situation today that seems impossible. Maybe you’ve been told “no” so many times that you’re ready to give up. But I’m here to encourage you—don’t quit! You’re on the brink of something incredible. God is getting ready to flip the script, to turn the tables, and to bring about a divine reversal in your life. So, arise and go in faith!
Arise and Shine
As I was preparing this message, the word “arise” kept resonating in my spirit. This isn’t just a call to stand up physically; it’s a call to rise in spirit, to step into the roles and purposes that God has designed specifically for you. God is calling His sons and daughters to arise, to shake off the labels and opinions of others, and to walk confidently in His calling.
You may have felt unqualified, dismissed, or even judged in the past, but those are the very experiences that God will use to elevate you. He allowed you to go through those challenges so that at the end of the day, you will have no doubt that it was Him who raised you up. So today, I challenge you—arise! Stand up, take your position, and move forward in the calling God has for you.
Faith Over Fear
In these times of uncertainty, it’s easy to let fear creep in. We see prices rising, challenges mounting, and it can feel overwhelming. But God is reminding us today not to allow these external circumstances to impact our faith. He is still our provider, and He can do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or imagine.
Remember the Israelites—they were on the brink of deliverance. You may be too. Don’t let fear rob you of your faith. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. Stay spiritually alert, keep a prophetic ear open, and trust that God is working in ways far beyond our understanding.
God’s Provision for the Journey Ahead
God’s provision isn’t just for today—it’s for the journey ahead. The Israelites didn’t receive silver, gold, and clothing just for their immediate needs; these provisions were used later to build the tabernacle, a place of worship. This teaches us that God’s blessings are often forward-looking. He equips us not only for our present needs but also for the future He has planned for us.
As we move forward in faith, let’s see God’s blessings as preparation for fulfilling our purpose. Let’s trust that even in the midst of challenges, God is paving the way for something greater.
A Prayer for Boldness and Provision
Before we wrap up, I want to take a moment to pray with you. Let’s pray with boldness and intention, just like Jabez did when he asked God to bless him and enlarge his territory.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and Your promises. Thank You for reminding us who we are in You. We are Your sons and daughters, chosen by You, called by You, and loved by You. We partner our faith with one another today, believing You for miracles, breakthroughs, and divine reversals in our lives. We trust in Your provision, knowing that You are equipping us not just for today but for the journey ahead. Help us to arise in faith, to stand boldly in our calling, and to move forward with confidence, knowing that You are with us every step of the way. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Arise and Go in Faith
As we close, I want to leave you with this: arise and go in faith. God is with you every step of the way, and He has a plan and purpose for your life. Remember, He doesn’t call the qualified—He qualifies the called. So, meditate on His Word, let it marinate in your heart, and step into the fullness of what He has for you.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s continue to uplift one another and walk boldly in faith together. If this message has blessed you, I encourage you to share it with someone who needs to hear it.
God bless you, and have a wonderful day!
